Austin Toros Host Youth Basketball Camp13 July 2006
AUSTIN, TEXAS, July 11, 2006 - Registration is still available for the final installment of the Inaugural Austin Toros Basketball Camp Series at the Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock, Texas. The Toros Basketball Camp focuses on fundamentals and skills training for youth entering grades 4 thru 12. The Toros Basketball Camp is the perfect avenue for youth to improve in all areas of the game including ball handling, passing, defensive tips, positioning, shooting and teamwork. The third and final Toros summer camp of the season runs July 17-21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Instruction will be geared towards the individual campers' age and skill level. The Toros Fundamentals Camp will feature professional and local high school instruction from 13-year NBA veteran and Toros head coach Dennis Johnson, along with Round Rock High School head coach Curtis Knight and Bowie High School head coach Celester "C.C." Collier. The cost of the fundamental clinics camp is $199 per person. In addition to instruction, the cost includes a camp T-shirt, four (4) ticket vouchers to a 2006-07 Toros home game (a $40 value) and lunch.
