RimRockers Announce Schedule for 2006-07 Season

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., July 18 - The Arkansas RimRockers have announced their schedule for the 2006-07 NBA D-League Season. The RimRockers will open the season on the road at Tulsa on November 24th and will host the defending champion Albuquerque Thunderbirds on Friday, December 1st for their home opener.

A 50-game regular season schedule for each team is highlighted by 72-percent of the total scheduled home games being played on the weekend, which has proven to be preferable to D-League fans in their search for affordable, family entertainment options.

"We are excited to have 20 (out of 24) games at home on Friday and Saturdays this season," Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scotty Adams said. "It gives everybody an opportunity to attend our games and support the RimRockers."

With seven new markets and 12 teams for 2006-07, the D-League will be divided into divisions for the first time. The RimRockers will be joined by the Austin Toros, Dakota Wizards, Fort Worth Flyers, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Tulsa 66ers to comprise the Eastern Division. The Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Anaheim Arsenal, Bakersfield Jam, Colorado 14ers, Idaho Stampede and Los Angeles make up the Western Division.

Another D-League first will be the All-Star Game, set for Saturday, Feb. 17 to be played during Jam Session at the 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas. Teams representing the Eastern and Western Divisions of the D-League will be selected by a vote that includes fans, as well as D-League players and coaches.

"We are delighted to have the first D-League All-Star Game as part of NBA All-Star Weekend," D-League President Phil Evans said. "This will be an experience our players will long remember, and coupled with our annual Showcase in January, affords NBA teams an additional avenue to gather at one location to see the best the D-League has to offer."

Tickets are now available for the 2006-07 season. For more information log onto www.ArkansasRimRockers.com or call (501) 975-HOOP.
